We are the editorial arm of the \u201cJournalists for the Future\u201d NGO (<a title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jff.am\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.jff.am<\/a>) and have built a trusted reputation for transforming complex topics into accessible, visual, and deeply researched stories. Our work bridges the gap between public policy and the people it affects, presenting information in a transparent, digestible, and impactful way.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Since our founding in 2016, Ampop Media has emerged as a pioneer of data journalism in Armenia, combining investigative reporting, civic technology, multimedia storytelling, and open-source intelligence to deliver content that shapes conversations and influences decision-making. While there is growing demand for reliable information, the media landscape remains polarized, underfunded, and vulnerable to disinformation. Ampop Media was created to fill a critical gap: to provide trustworthy, analytical, and visually powerful journalism that deciphers the complexity behind policies and numbers.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>Our work is not only a source of public knowledge\u2014it is a tool for civic engagement, policy evaluation, and democratic oversight. By turning dense government data and institutional reports into stories people can understand, Ampop Media helps bridge the distance between power and the public.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Achievements<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Nearly 20 journalism awards over 9 years of work.<\/li>\r\n<li>Five-time winner of Armenia\u2019s annual \u201cTvapatum\u201d Data Journalism contest in multiple categories.<\/li>\r\n<li>Recognized for innovative use of media technologies and for covering migration, labor rights, trafficking, healthcare, and housing.<\/li>\r\n<li>Our investigations and analyses have informed public debates, policy discussions, and civic initiatives.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p><strong>Professional Standards<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Until 2024, we followed the Code of Ethics developed by Journalists for the Future NGO.<\/li>\r\n<li>Since 2024, we have joined Armenia\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/mediaethics.am\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media Self-Regulation Initiative<\/a>, following its guidelines on election coverage, non-discrimination, and newsroom conduct on social media.<\/li>\r\n<li>Since 2025, we are part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/journalismtrustinitiative.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Journalism Trust Initiative<\/a> (JTI). Our self-assessment results <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jti-app.com\/report\/8lEvzLwydgjXNk4x\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">are available<\/a> on JTI\u2019s official website.<\/li>\r\n<li>Ampop Media <a href=\"https:\/\/directory.projectoasiseurope.com\/ampop-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">is also included<\/a> in the Oasis European research platform of independent digital media.<\/li>\r\n<li>We have developed our own Data Accuracy Guide, ensuring quality journalism and helping readers distinguish reliable content from misinformation.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><strong>Use of Content<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>All articles, infographics, visuals, and translations published on Ampop.am are copyrighted by Journalists for the Future NGO and the Ampop Media team.<\/li>\r\n<li>Reuse is not allowed without proper attribution.<\/li>\r\n<li>Visuals may be republished on other platforms only with prior agreement from the JFF NGO.<\/li>\r\n<li>Photos belong to their credited authors.<\/li>\r\n<li>AI-generated visuals are clearly labeled in the publication<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p>Partner with us to strengthen independent journalism<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>Our work is supported exclusively <strong>through grants, donations, and income from our services.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Our Services<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>We run a <strong>Data Research and Visualization Studio<\/strong> that helps foundations, NGOs, and government institutions communicate more effectively with their audiences and communities. Since education is also part of our mission, we organize trainings and webinars to help teams work more effectively in today\u2019s social media environment.
